Hallyu star Kim Hyun-joong will now be closer to the public by becoming a wax figure next month.
The museum officials announced on Wednesday that the singer and actor's wax figure will be exhibited at Madame Tussauds Museum in Busan.
Kim, who the officials say is recognized as a representative Hallyu star by the museum¡¯s visitors, went through a three-hour-long photo shoot to measure his 500 body parts to make a life-sized figure of himself.
¡°We¡¯ve seeing an increasing number of visitors from Shanghai, Hong Kong and Bang Kok who have big interest in Hallyu stars. Since Kim has a broad popularity in Asia, other Madame Tussauds museums in the region are very interested in the project,¡± the Busan museum's PR person Lee Jung-hee said.
Found by famous wax sculptor Marie Tussaud in London in 1835, the popular tourist attraction displaying life-sized figures of film stars,, sports players, historical and royal figures and infamous murderers, has branched out to major cities in other regions including New York, Hong Kong and Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Kim has been busy recording his first Japanese full-length album ¡°UNLIMITED,¡± set to hit stores on December 12. He is also filming his drama ¡°City Conquest,¡± which will hit the airwaves on KBS in the first half of next year.
