Tonight, the 2012 Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) is throwing its star-studded ceremony at the National Theater of Korea in middle-eastern Seoul, starting at 5:30 p.m. KST.

Organizers of the 7th SDA have confirmed that SBS' "Rooftop Prince" couple Park Yuchun and Han Ji-min will walk the red carpet before the ceremony, as they have been recognized as the most popular star of Korea and awarded for the People's Choice segment.

While actor Shin Hyeon-joon and actress Han Go-eun will emcee the show, K-pop idols MBLAQ, CNBLUE, and 4minute will brighten the festivity with their popular tunes and performances.

Into its seventh edition, the SDA, known to be one of the most-anticipated annual events for drama fans, will spotlight 24 TV series out of the 201 overseas submissions.

Korean works that were shortlisted were "Moon Embracing the Sun" (MBC, 2012), “The Princess’ Man” (KBS, 2011), and "Deep Rooted Tree" (SBS, 2011), the organizers and committee have come together to carefully select impressive dramas that aired in January 2011 to May 2012.

Some notable nominations were actor Shin Ha-gyun of KBS' "Brain" (2011) and actress Ha Ji-won of "The King 2 Hearts" (MBC, 2012) each being nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress, while famed screenwriter Kim Soo-hyun is eyeing her chance to win Best Screenwriter for her work "A Thousand Days Promise" (2011).

Set to be hosted under the theme “Fiesta of top-notch dramas of 2012,” a total of 25 trophys will be handed out at tonight's award ceremony.
